I started out my career working for an ex-McKinsey partner who deeply engrained the rules of a good slide deck into me. For every client deck we would print out a copy, split it up between each person in the team, and then go through with a pen marking every single issue (my boss had a red pen so you knew what was from him), and then rotate the stacks of slides around the group until every slide had been reviewed by every person on the team. Then you had to go make the changes. Many of the rules I learned there came up so often he had shorthand for them, and these same rules are at the core of what I'm building into SlideDoctor.
